An unavoidable, game-breaking bug occurs during New Game +. SNK announced that a replacement cart would be available to those who mailed them the defective cart by January 2008, officially labelled version "-1" (v-1). Bugged versions of the game have a full colour graphic on the cart label while v-1 labels are black and white behind a coloured logo. These fixed carts were mailed along with a package of 5 King of Fighters trading cards.

			Nearly impossible to find. Keep an eye online, though not many people know this version even exists.
