SFD 3.0 Take A Tour

Since the launch of the original website, Street Fighter Devotion has evolved from a fan-site into years of community involvement. For almost a decade, SFD has been immersed in various Street Fighter projects including video games, books, official websites and more. Here is a quick glimpse into a few milestones:

Launch of the original STREET FIGHTER DEVOTION [2004]
Street Fighter Devotion launched on July 21st, 2004 (Ryu's Birthday) as an online fan-site museum, archiving every Street Fighter and related game released in North America. Within the first year, the site expanded to include movies, books, soundtracks, toys and more. SFD quickly gained a reputation for Street Fighter trivia and history, and for putting one of the world's largest collections of Street Fighter merchandise online, free for everyone to share.

The UDON years [2005-2007]
In September 2005, thirty-one days before the franchise's Street Fighter Month campaign, SFD was hired by UDON Entertainment as their Graphic Designer and Web Master. The Street Fighter Devotion website was unfortunately put on hold, but remained online. During these years, SFD worked closely with UDON to develop fan-favourite books including Street Fighter The Ultimate Edition and Street Fighter Legends: Sakura. SFD also contributed to the art of Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD Remix for PlayStation 3 and XBOX 360.

The GAMING years [2006-2008]
Having moved from UDON to work in the gaming industry, SFD continued to work closely with Capcom on various projects. SFD worked on the remixed game Quiz & Dragons playable on Capcom Classics Collection Vol 2 for XBOX and PlayStation 2, featuring waves of Capcom trivia. SFD later contributed the XBOX 360 Achievements, "Sagat's Scar" and "Throwing is Cheap" in Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix.

STREET FIGHTER DEVOTION 2.0 launches [2007]
In October 2007, the main page of Street Fighter Devotion was replaced with a teaser logo for Street Fighter Devotion 2. The production for the new website had begun. The project goal was to create an unprecedented Street Fighter museum with a desired launch date in-time for the 20th Anniversary of Street Fighter (2008). Street Fighter Devotion 2.0 launched in December 2007 and became a home for fans looking for an in-depth look at Street Fighter history.

The Street Fighter LEGACY [2009]
With Capcom's launch of Street Fighter IV and a slew of new Street Fighter community sites, Street Fighter Devotion contributed the heart and soul that is Street Fighter Legacy, an official timeline of select Street Fighter video games and action figures.

Street Fighter HISTORY [2010]
Contributing as a collector and devoted fan, SFD was quoted in various points of Street Fighter The Complete History by Chronicle Books. SFD's personal collection was photographed and featured on a two-page article. Later the same year, SFD was credited in Street Fighter The World Warrior Encyclopedia as an advisor.

STREET FIGHTER DEVOTION 3.0 launches [2012]
Celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the brand, Street Fighter Devotion 3.0 launches with full force, expanding with the inclusion of merchandise found through painful analytical research. Every variation of every media for every platform and every cameo... Video games, movies, soundtracks, demos and "not for resale" items are included with a striking wealth of information. In addition, Fighter Profiles were added, featuring OVER ONE HUNDRED playable characters within each Street Fighter universe. "At a Glance" videos become an episodic feature, showcasing a quick glimpse of rare Street Fighter games and demos for Street Fighter fans to enjoy.

CAPCOM documents The Collection [2012]
In early 2012, CAPCOM asked SFD to take part in the Street Fighter 25th Anniversary. SFD and The Collection was featured in the "I AM STREET FIGHTER" documentary which was bundled with the Street Fighter 25th Anniversary Collector's Set (released September 18th). The documentary highlights the profound influence the franchise has had on fans and vice versa.

A photo gallery is available as a behind-the-scenes look of the filming.
