ABOUT STREET FIGHTER DEVOTION
HOW IT ALL BEGAN
“Are you just another fighter? Or will you Devote Your Life?” – Keith Burgess (voice of Akuma), Anime North 2006. |
Street Fighter Devotion was originally launched on July 21, 2004 (Ryu's Birthday) as a fan-site museum show-casing every Street Fighter and related game released in North America, and was created by a single fan known around the studio as "SFD" or "Devotion". On September 2005, thirty-one days before the franchise's Street Fighter Month in October, SFD was hired by UDON Entertainment as the lead Web Designer. The Street Fighter Devotion website was unfortunately put on hold, but remained active for visitors to study the history of the brand.
Two years later, after countless fan-mail asking, "When is the website coming back?"... the main page of Street Fighter Devotion was replaced with a teaser logo for Street Fighter Devotion 2. The production for the new website had begun.
The project goal was, again, to create an unprecedented Street Fighter museum with a desired launch date in-time for the 20th Anniversary of Street Fighter (2008). This was no easy task. SFD thus hired a group of talented individuals with various skills to push the level of information. The sheer level of complexity was far too great for one designer alone. With support from companies such as UDON Entertainment, Anchor Bay, Sota Toys, Sabertooth and CAPCOM themselves, the SFD development team knew that the bar had been raised even higher and was being watched by those who moulded the brand into what it is today.

Street Fighter Devotion 2.0 launched in December 2007 and became a home for fans looking for exclusive Street Fighter content. A slew of VIPs became involved including ADAM DEATS (Street Fighter strategy guides), SAM REICH (Street Fighter The Later Years), SKIP STELLRECHT & EDDIE FRIERSON (voice of Anime Ryu & Ken), YOSHINORI ONO & DAVID CRISLIP (Producers of Street Fighter IV), to name a few.
Many more plans are ahead for Team SFD, and we are pleased that the community has kept the brand alive for over 20 years. We hope you enjoy your stay.

| | Small, Kerwin Orlando - PHOTOGRAPHER
Currently looking for his next "big hit", Kerwin had a private "photo set" in the SFD Studio where he spent countless days balancing angles, camera focus and room lighting. He was responsible for every high-quality museum photo you see on Street Fighter Devotion.

| | Happy, John - EVENT ORGANIZER
A long-time Street Fighter fan and cosplayer, John organizes various events that Team SFD attends such as conventions and panels. John was also in charge of ensuring the information from the first Street Fighter Devotion was properly carried over to the new website.

| | Tan, Brittany - SENIOR EDITOR
Just about anyone can do research, but what was most important about Brittany (who is responsible for the Character Profiles) is that she writes in an entertaining and legible way without personal opinions or rumors. You could only get this from someone like her who had minimal Street Fighter experience, but writes as a professional journalist.

| | Martinez, Allan Joseph - EDITOR [ EMAIL ]
Hard-working and focused on his job, Allan spent most of his time at the studio painstakingly editing almost every page (300+) of web code to ensure quality and functionality. Allan is also head of the Official Team SFD Facebook Group and the Official Street Fighter Art deviantArt page.

| | Quan, Joseph - REVIEW EDITOR
Joe was the first of three game reviewers who fancies the III and Cross-over titles. Always distracted by wanting to PLAY Street Fighter, much of his work was delayed, but was eventually completed successfully. Joe also constantly destroys "SFD" in 3rd Strike.
|

| | Taylor, Ty Prince - REVIEW EDITOR
Ty was the second of three game reviewers who fancies the EX and Alpha titles. He was highly motivated by his hero Superman and occasionally had the show Smallville playing from a DVD at his work-station.

| | "SFD" - PRODUCER [ EMAIL ]
You may be wondering why the founder and producer "SFD" has a question mark over his face. The website StreetFighterDevotion.com is a gift for Street Fighter fans; a fun, new way to learn Street Fighter history. Even as the producer, he does not want to take direct credit – When Commissioner Gordon told Batman, "I never got to say Thank you", Batman replied, "And you'll never have to."

There are many other people who continue to contribute to Street Fighter Devotion. Please view our CREDITS page for an updated list. Thank you all for your hard work and continued support.
